Bonsai — Terms of Service Last updated: 24 October 2026 These terms are the agreement between you and PixLabs (run by rhodzy, based in England) for playing Bonsai, a game played through Discord and at bonsai.pixlabs.dev. By using the game, or adding it to a server, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. WHO CAN PLAY You must follow Discord's Terms of Service and be old enough to use Discord in your country (at least 13). 2. THE GAME Bonsai is free to play. Each Discord server grows one shared tree. The tree, its sap, upgrades, stats and leaderboard places exist only in the game. They have no real-world value, can't be exchanged for money, and can't be sold or transferred. Trees need looking after. If a tree is left without water it loses health and can die. That's part of the game, and we don't normally restore trees that die from neglect. We're always improving the game, so we may change how it works: growth, cooldowns, prices in sap, rewards and features. If a bug or an exploit gives out things it shouldn't, we may correct affected trees or stats. 3. FOR SERVER ADMINS If you add Bonsai to a server, you choose where its panel goes and who it pings. Please only set a ping role for people who are happy to be pinged. You can turn web play and announcements off, and you can ask us to wipe your server's tree. 4. PLAY FAIR Please don't: • use scripts, macros, self-bots or any automation to play, on Discord or the website; • exploit bugs. If you find one, tell us, don't use it; • use more than one Discord account to get around the turn rule (taking turns to water) or to farm votes; • harass other players; • get around the name filter. Tree names must be friendly, and must not use the names of PixLabs games or pretend to be official. If you break these rules, we may remove progress gained unfairly, reset stats or a server's tree, hide a server from the leaderboards, or stop you or a server playing. We'll usually warn first unless the problem is serious. 5. NAMES You're responsible for the tree names you create. We may change or remove any name, at any time, if we think it's inappropriate. 6. VOTING You can vote for the game on DiscordForge and DiscordNest to earn rewards for a server's tree. Those sites' own terms apply to voting there. Vote rewards and cooldowns may change. 7. AVAILABILITY We work hard to keep the game running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs. We may pause it for maintenance. If we ever decide to close Bonsai for good, we'll give at least 30 days' notice in the PixLabs Discord server. 8. RESPONSIBILITY The game is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, or for lost trees, progress or stats (though we'll always try to put things right when it's our fault). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. 9. ENDING You can stop playing at any time, and ask us to delete your data (see the Privacy Policy). A server can remove the bot at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken. 10. CHANGES We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let players know in the PixLabs Discord server. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the updated terms. 11. LAW These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of your local consumer laws.
